I belong to that transitory, growing community often known as "global nomads". I am a third-culture kid that was born in South America, raised in Latin America and Asia, and educated in the USA and Europe. I've spent a significant portion of my life traveling, volunteering and living abroad. You could say that as a consequence of such an upbringing I suffer - though quite contentedly - from wanderlust and I am always looking forward to my next adventure.
I have a wide variety of interests ranging from anthropology and history, to the entertainment industry, environmental issues, film and literature, the tourism industry, volunteering and humanitarian work, fashion and lifestyle, and quite a bit more. As a result, my education and employment background haven't followed a linear sort of path; I've enjoyed learning from new experiences and am always eager to take on something new. My BA from NYU is in Culture and Heritage studies, but I have an MSc in International Tourism Management with a focus on sustainable tourism which I completed at university in Oxford, UK.
After that I returned to LA - where I currently find myself living the sunny life - and somehow fell into the Corporate Environmental Affairs department of Disney, helping to develop and coordinate their youth programs. That was a great experience, but I felt it was time to move on to my next adventure. In my view, writing is also an adventure and I enjoy sharing my wonder of all the interesting and intriguing things of the world with readers everywhere.
